Kevin Loaring Memorial Trophy

Presentation & Brad Pettit guest The legacy of Kevin Loaring lives on throughout the Kelmscott community as the young people who he coached through sport have gone on to become great community contributors and advocates for positive and healthy values. Through his inspiration, an award is presented to a young person who has shown courage and positive life values.
Fremntle Mayor, Brad Pettit, will present the award.

Senior Kelmscott Idol

Finals The Senior contestants are polished and experienced performers. After attending a workshop for the finalists on 1st October, they are armed with extra skills in entertainment, audience engagement and performance tools. Past finalists have gone one to become songwriters, performers and one of the judges, Tobias Muhafidin, is testament of a young man who is now living his performance dreams by forging a recording and performance career in music, having been the inaugural winner of the Senior Kelmscott Idol.

All three young men have performed numerous times as Kelmscott Idol finalists at which time they gave award-winning performances.

MAD Music

Original Artists Mario Leeder And Daniel Walker (MAD) have been best friends since they were in kindergarten and have remained best mates ever since. Both coming from musical families, they have been playing music together since they were very young and recently formed their duo, MAD Music. In the past six months Mario and Daniel have written, recorded and performed their original songs and will share some of their best with you before the presentations of the Song-writer awards for the Kelmscott Idol.

2013 Junior Idol Winner returns Ava Sharp won the 2013 Inaugural Junior Kelmscott Idol. She has since travelled to America, and also won a WAM song-writers award for "Shattered Heart.". She will perform her winning song today, just before the announcement of the Song-writer winners

Rock and Roll Dancing Jus’ Dance is Perth’s one-stop dance school specialising in teaching partner dancing. Since opening its doors in 2000, Jus’ Dance has developed a diverse range of dance classes for dancers of all levels of experience – from beginners through to professional, medal dancers.

Challis Community Primary School Simply Strings

Don't Stop The Music Did you see the three-part documentary on ABC TV endorsed by Guy Sebastion called, Don't Stop the Music? At Challis Primary School, Music has opened doors for many young musicians. The children who were originally selected as part of the filming for the documentary are now in Year 6 doing great things with their guitars, cellos and violins. Musical directors are Ziggy Atwell, Stephanie Jefferies, and Rachel John. These are a dream-team of mentors. Come and see how much these kids have improved in music as they gear up for their journey to high school and beyond. Exciting times.

Active Kids The Hopperoos are a dedicated team of skippers made up of students in Years 3-6 from Armadale Primary School. They love being a member of The Hopperoos and train regularly after school and during their recess and lunch breaks to practise and perfect their routines and tricks. They have team routines which they have created together as well as individual tricks using equipment such as: pogo balls, pogo sticks, hoops, scooters etc. The Hopperoos love entertaining others and will travel to metropolitan schools and community events to promote their message of the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle.
